WORKPLACE VIOLENCE

Witnessing Workplace Violence

When violent actions occur at work, the impact often extends beyond the employee or employees who are injured. Co-workers who have witnessed violent acts often experience stress, anxiety and fear as a result of what they have witnessed. If you are struggling with anxiety, fear, stress or depression after witnessing violence in your place of work, you may also have a claim.

In a perfect world, it would go without saying that our workplaces should be safe and that the threat of physical violence wouldn’t exist. Unfortunately, according to the US Department of Labor – Occupational Safety & Health Administration nearly 2 million employees report experiencing workplace violence each year, in fact homicide is “currently the fourth-leading cause of fatal occupational injuries in the United States.” And “homicide is the leading cause of death for women in workplace.” Our workplaces just aren’t as safe as they should be and if you have been injured as a result of workplace violence, we can help.

Claims for Injuries Caused by Workplace Violence
